Calling all golfers! Whether you're a seasoned pro, a beer-drinking wedding golfer, mini golfer or disc golfer, Prairie du Chien has got you covered! With a little something for everyone, Prairie is a great destination for all types of golfing for the guys, girls or the whole family. Here's what we like about each option:
Traditional Golf:
Prairie du Chien Country Club
The Prairie du Chien Country Club is definitely the best place in the area for a great round of traditional golf. The course features 18 holes of beautifully sloped and manicured fairways, greens and grounds with the longest hole clocking in at 6197 yards. On the property sits a newly remodeled club-house with a full bar and restaurant serving lunch, dinner and great Bloody Mary's! Green fees for 18 holes are very reasonable, ranging from $25-$35, with the additional option of renting a cart. Or, for something a little less structured, grab a bucket of balls and head to the driving range or the golf simulator with friends. Tee times range from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, and are reservable online. The Country Club is located a few miles South of Prairie du Chien off Highway 18. They have an active Facebook Page listing drink and food specials.
Barnyard 9 Golf Course
If you're looking for something a little less formal, but still a heck of a lot of fun, look no further than the Barnyard 9 Golf Course. The course has a bit more of a rustic feel to it, which matches the overall charm of the bar, restaurant and banquet facilities on-site. Located directly across from the river and the Winneshiek Marina makes it easily accessible via boat or car. Dock your boat at the Winnie and walk across the street to the course for a quick nine holes. This course is great for beginners, with less slope than the Country Club. The property features a huge bar overlooking the course and full restaurant. Another perk is that you don't need tee times! Just walk on in and for $25 (weekend rate) you can golf 9 holes with a cart. Course is located at 32750 Co Rd K, and you can check out a full list of the property's amenities on their website.
Mini Golf
Prairie Funland
One of the best mini golf course you'll find! This 18-hole course is packed with challenges, water features, sand traps and tricks. The course is smartly designed and really fun for all ages to play. The property also features a driving range, making it easy for families to split up according to their preference. Prairie Funlad is packed with other activities as well, such as go-kart racing, bumper boats and arcade games, making it easy to spend several hours on site.

Sports Unlimited (The Barn) Mini Golf
Head back to the Barnyard for $5 mini golf! Open to the public. This fun little course gives the kids something to do while the adults enjoy a few drinks inside or golf the Barnyard 9. Located directly across from the Winneshiek Marina makes this mini golf course accessible by boat!
Disc Golf
Rotary Disc Golf Course
Grab your discs and head to the island! This 18 hole course, located on historic St. Feriole Island, is free to the public and sponsored by the local Rotary Club. Head over the bridge towards the river on Blackhawk Avenue until you see baseball fields on your left. The first hole is directly across the street, and the course meanders through nine blocks of historic gardens and land.
Stay at the Corner Cottage
After a full day of golf at one (or more) of the many options in Prairie du Chien, head back to the Corner Cottage Vacation Rental, conveniently located just one block from Prairie's downtown River District.
